Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis

2020

In September 2020, FOS began work with the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis (the Bank) on a facility infrastructure condition assessment across 500,000 sf.

Following an initial kick-off meeting between client representatives and our team, the FOS field team began work to identify and document current facility conditions and deficiencies. The Bank was in need of a data format that could be imported into their asset tracking software, evaluating components from HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and interior and exterior architecture. FOS’s approach has redefined how facility condition assessments are delivered, and this project was no exception. Our full time staff walked every asset and reviewed each major component and system, engaging in an open dialogue with the Bank representatives responsible for each, providing a true turn-key solution for the Bank.

This project was not without its challenges, yet even with bringing on a new PM halfway through we were able to successfully handle a demanding level of new requests and expectations from the client that were outside of our normal ways of producing data and reports. The Bank desired an extremely high level of detail, adding time spent on the project but resulting in a satisfied client.

My favorite part of the project was being able to assess a relatively complex institutional building with several relatively complex deficiencies, all within a timeframe that allowed me to pace myself, think things through, and strive for a high-quality product.
