Pace University

Our team completed a comprehensive component-level facility condition assessment with asset tagging for 35 buildings at Pace University’s three campuses in New York New York City, Pleasantville, and White Plains. These campuses varied in geography, building size, typology, and original build dates.

Pleasantville – This 200-acre suburban campus provides the quintessential university campus experience with open spaces, gardens, and an on-campus nature trail. This FCA included 22 buildings built between 1867-2000, ranging from 3,331-74,588 sf – over 600,000 sf total.

White Plains – This campus is home to the Elisabeth Haub School of Law and is situated near downtown White Plains, an outer suburb of New York City. This FCA included 7 buildings built between 1931-2001, ranging from 13,080-71,878 sf – over 250,000 total.

New York City – Pace’s NYC campus provides an urban atmosphere in downtown Manhattan, at the epicenter of cutting-edge technology and the fast-paced culture of Wall Street. This FCA included 6 buildings built between 1952-2012, ranging from 47,500-569,027 sf – over 1.2 million sf total. Deliverables identified liabilities requiring correction and provided specific professional recommendations with deficiency budget cost-estimates and a prioritized short and long-term capital plan from years 1-10. The assessment recommended an arc-flash and coordination study for all major electrical head-end equipment citing safety concerns. QR-coded asset tags were affixed to over 1,750 assets and linked to the assessment database within our FOScore® software.

This assessment was conducted by two of our in-house assessment teams to meet the owner’s schedule. To ensure consistency each team conducted a peer review of the others work and our data management team ran sequel queries and build custom reports to identify anomalies.
