Designing Software Platforms to Foster a Thriving Facility

December 14, 2022

FOS was featured in Buffalo Business First, as we announced the launch of a KPI module built into our facility condition assessment (FCA) and capital planning platform, FOScore®. This new and robust addition to the platform provides a key performance indicator (KPI) module for collecting and tracking data specific to an institution’s goals and initiatives, fostering a thriving and suitable facility.

Measuring more than just building conditions, this module can help users track how they manage their facilities — no matter the datapoint. With predefined templates, it has all the multipurpose tools needed to streamline visualization of insights and easily share that data with teams to inform business decisions. Essentially, it makes data more scalable and accessible across organizations.

The FOScore® software upgrade was designed with clients in mind, coming equipped with new dashboarding capabilities and the ability to reflect individual client brand identities. The module itself is also fully customizable, allowing clients to transform systems from static documents into online databases. This will create an actual, adaptable record and ultimately improve business processes. Most organizations have too many “priority one” issues, but this KPI tool allows users to apply filters that will help them prioritize projects.

Example use cases of this new module:

  • Educational adequacy assessment

  • K12 equity and inclusion studies

  • Energy and sustainability / resiliency studies

  • Measure actual condition against any set of standards

  • Healthcare interior standards

  • Higher education laboratory assessments

  • Portfolio-wide comparison / ranking analysis

  • Could be utilized as a general survey tool for virtually any use
