Community Service Day at Graycliff

September 15, 2022

Buffalo FOS team poses at Graycliff

This year for community service day some of the Buffalo FOS team ventured out to the Graycliff estate (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built between 1926 and 1931) to help with their landscaping. The Graycliff Conservancy was built by the passion and perseverance of volunteers and now, more than two decades later, the story is still unfolding. With our help, the historic landscape of the grounds is maintained for another day!

We received a short tour of the house and grounds, which included the contemporary sculpture exhibition, Sarah Braman: Finding Room, a collaboration with the Buffalo AKG Art Museum. While on the tour, we adopted an extremely friendly cat (or the cat adopted us, depending on who you ask). Thanks to Kathleen Rieger, Adam Guglielmi, Brett Wallace, Darra Kubera, Rachel Czarnecki, Benjamin Kozar, David Malinowski, and Phil Marble for spending your morning making Buffalo a better place!
