FOS Emerging Leader - Brad Halvorson

August 4, 2022

Cheers to Brad Halvorson - FOS’s new Field Project Manager! The following announcement is written by FOS President, Joe Cassata:

As FOS continues to grow, we’re excited to offer up advancement opportunities to our internal team. Although not taking effect until later this year, I’m pleased to share that Bradley Halvorson has been promoted to Field Project Manager! In his new role, Brad will provide leadership to the team, manage project workflows, and coordinate with senior project managers to exceed client expectations.

Over a span of twenty years, prior to joining FOS, Brad was a master electrician at three different hospitals across Minneapolis and Denver. In 2019 he was on the hunt for a new challenge, leading him to join the FOS team as an electrical assessor. “I needed a new challenge,” said Brad, “and FOS challenges me daily.”

The word “challenge” seems to be a constant in Brad’s vocabulary. Living half-way between Denver and Colorado Springs has motivated Brad to train for a mountain bike ride/race that will take him to nearly 10,000’ in elevation. When asked how he feels about this challenge, he said “it is very humbling. It can feel like there is no air to breathe; the ride is on back mountain roads with some incredibly long and hard steep climbs. It will be an experience for me to finish, but I’m looking forward to giving it my best.”

The challenges won’t stop in his new role, but as a self-proclaimed people person Brad says he is most looking forward to mentoring new hires as they join the FOS team. By effectively training our teams Brad will further his positive impact on our internal staff while continuing to provide exceptional services to our clients.

Outside of work, Brad took a course a few years ago on how to build and maintain hiking/mountain biking trails. He has been volunteering with his hometown as a crew-lead ever since, taking groups out to aid in the maintenance of the trail system. This forward-thinking mentality relates most strongly to his work with FOS as an assessor. Throughout his tenure, and throughout his personal life, Brad has always been willing to step up and give a task his all. I’m confident that this promotion will bring a new set of difficulties, but also opportunities, that he will face and conquer.

Congrats Brad!
